The Principality of Andorra is crammed with emblematic monuments and countrysides to enjoy. Its culture is ample, as well as its Roman legacy and museums. In this section, we offer a short cultural journey through this enchanting country.

Let´s begin with Andorra la Vella, the capital. Here you should definitely visit the Casa de la Val, currently being used as Andorra´s Parliament, and in the 16th Century was a fortress. This place is yet another symbol of the Principality of Andorra. Also you should definitely see the churches. A good place to visit is the Church of San Estefano in Andorra la Vella, that still conserves its original, 6th Century Roman bell tower. Another worthwile place to visit is the Santa Coloma Church.

From Andorra la Vella we will move on to Canillo, where you will encounter the Sancturary of Nuestra Señora de Meritxell, patrimony to the Principality since 1921 when it was solemnly crowned on the 8th of September. This sanctuary is of Roman origin but was reformed in the 17th Century. It is on of the most emblematic places of all the Principality and one of the most visited by tourists, and a special treat for art lovers.

In Ordino there are also great cultural sites of interest, such as a variety of museums like the San Jordi Iconographic Museum, along with others of the same style such as the Microminiature Museum.

The Center of Roman Interpretation is another place that is worth visiting, as there we can see Roman art from all over the Principality, a patrimony to humankind that extends throughout all of the Pyrenees and of Andorra.
